Guy Scott (artist and print maker) has lived locally for many years. He was Director of Art at Stowe School and also a housemaster, before retiring to Sideways Cottage on the High Street.
He has exhibited with the Royal Society of Marine Artists at the Mall Gallery in London and has had a major retrospective exhibition in Scotland. Last year he exhibited locally when his drawings and prints, together with photos from two local photographers, traced the story of Restoration of the New Inn at Stowe.
Guy’s family, brought up in Dadford, are all in the art world – with Adam a successful architect in London, Daniel an art teacher at Marlborough College in Malaysia and Verity an art director for TV and films.
He is a Patron of the local society B.A.F.A. and has lectured to art societies all over the country.
